when i make a DVD with convertxdvd out of 2 700mb avi files, each about an hour long the output dvd files is only 2.04GB. is there any way i can make it so the output is maximum(4.5) so i can get the most quality? 2.04 is no where near the size i should be getting. heres the log:

Try Cinema Craft Encoder SP2. It will do the high quality job you seek.

i dont want a new program. im sure theres a easy way to do it on convertxtodvd. even when i change the output size to fit on a DVD-9 disc the output file size remains the same.

Change output quality to 100%, it is on 50% now. (Full quality, slow speed)

way it worked! thanks. where it said only 2.98GB on media, what ever settings i had on through me off. i guess thats not what the output size is. can anyone tell me what that means?(2.98 on media)

using the newest version and highest quality settings, I had the program hitting within a meg or 2 of my custom setting of 4400MB

more video data in this case does NOT equal more quality

raping the quality out of a DVD to make an xvid is a one way process. Converting an xvid to DVD will NEVER increase quality. What's lost is lost.
