Problems with BlindWrite Suite 4.2.4.35.

I currently install BlindWrite Suite, tonight. I set the configuration the way I wanted it, and even tested the VSO driver. That and the ASPI layer passed. After loading the cue file and testing it, the problem begins. I set the writing mode to DAO Pw and after 25 minutes the writing has yet to advance to even 1%. I have tried other writing methods and have had no success.

System Specifications:

Windows XP Professional
Asus 40x12x48
Soyo Dragon KT333
1024 PC2700 DDR
GeForce 4 Ti4400
Duron 750 MHz (For the time being)

All drivers are up to date.

How do I found out the protection of the bin file? The bin file is an image of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. These errors are also being cause when trying to burn other images.

Blindwrite is a nice program. I've used it in the past, before version 4 and never had these problems.

I can only imagine that you've d/l a warez image (.BIN) and it's bad.

On the other hand it's SecuRom New v4.83.11.0049 and you will need to read a .bwa file

>How do I found out the protection of the bin file? The bin file is
>an image of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2.

Mount the image (.CUE) in D-Tools and install from there, then scan the .exe using the second one of these in the second post

You also need to turn off IMAPI in Services and disable built-in burning on the ASUS.

Turn off "Enhance Weak Sectors" at all times for your ASUS - no matter what you're burning.

Make sure that DMA is enabled in Device Manager (off the controllers)

Make sure that you use 40 pin/80 conductor IDE cables (because you'll have ATA66 or 100 disks installed) or if you have ATA133 disk(s) you *must* have an ATA133 IDE cable with an earth strap

Search the forum on how to do these things

I had a Yamaha CDR-400 that got picky with the CDR's it would write to at the end of its life.
It would get to the writing the lead in stage and then eject the disk as an error?

Just one possibility

Have had it turned off, still did the same.

I have the correct IDE cables for hard drives and CDRoms.

It was a backup image that I made. Guess it was made with an error, somehow.

Thanks for the help. Will remake it tonight.

Errr I remade the image and still Blindwrite will not burn it. Doing the samething again. Nero burned it just fine, where as before it wouldn't. So now it doesn't seem to an issue whether the image had an error or not. It wouldn't burn anything else I wanted it too. Any other solutions?

Blindread works, but even after using Blineread to make a bin file, it still will no burn it. Also when using Blindread it said engine status was ECC error or something like that. What does that mean exactly?

You are going about this the wrong way. Only Blindwrite* (Suite) can make a working backup of SecuROM 4.8x

Using Blindwrite

Read the disc
Make a .bwa file (follow the instructions in the RTF file)
Write the disc

forget .BIN

*and Twinpeak

Blindwrite will not burn anything. Not even a simple ISO of pictures, but I will try what you suggested. I assume I need something that will tell me the protection of the game and what settings I will need.

(Sorry but this is an exact first for me on backing up my games)

Yes I would like to know what an Ecc error is too. I have the same problem as far as that being in my status screen the whole time. The number of those errors keep going up during the process. Is this going to make the image file unreadable to blindwrite? I would hate to waste 6 hours and still it not work. If someone can tell me what that error means at least that would be something.

the test option was removed a long time ago.
you should use cdrw for tests, but a test / simulation option is not enought to test a valid cd. It will be "always" ok, but the real will failed
don't forget also a lot of old plextor drive didn't support this option.
