NEW ConvertXtoDVD issue with MKV files in a NEW format

Greeting everyone. I have to say VSO has done a good job on improving their products. Thanks for the greatest support.

There is a new MKV format starts floating around on the net now. It has high quality compressed vedio/audio, but a lot less size than a regular MKV. I just discovered that ConvertXtoDVD 2.2.3.258 cannot handle this type of MKV. I consider it is a bug.

Here is the Media information:

General
Complete name : C:\movies\true.lies.sample.mkv
File size : 1358 KB
Format : Matroska
Overal bitrate : 338 KBps
PlayTime : 32s 911ms

Video #0
Codec : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
Width : 624
Height : 272
Aspect ratio : 2.25
Frame rate : 23.976
Resolution : 0
Language : English

Audio #0
Codec : A_AAC
Bit rate : Bps
Channels : 1
Sampling rate : 24 KHz
Language : und

Text #0
Codec : S_VOBSUB
Language : English

Here is a sample file http://www.4shared.com/file/18847234...iessample.html for you to try. The output file after converting have crappy audio and problem video.

The audio is actually a 6 ch AC3 format. I have no idea why it is treated as a single channel only. Please try it yourselves. You will know what I am talking about.

Here is the log info

Re: NEW ConvertXtoDVD issue with MKV files in a NEW format

Hi,

http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=1006

Someone else has issues with the same kind of files as you.

The above link is the VSO Bug report #1006 for it.

I added your stuff to it !

Still no answer from VSO, but they are working hard on v3.00 so maybe it will be fixed in v3.00 when it's released.
