VSO Software Discuss, Media topology ignored at Burning Software forum; what can I do against it? I have a Samsung SW-252F and a NEC ND-2500A They can read the Media with 100% Quality, but when I'm trying to burn the Backup I get this message and the Copy is useless. Do I need another burner?

Re: Media topology ignored

I tried it with
- Codename Panzers: Phase One (Starforce 3)
- Trackmania (Starforce 3)
- Joint Ops (i don'tknow, I had the same message and then i found out that it works without any CD , I think the Protection ist the Cd-Key 'cause it's an MP Game. This is no prob, 'cause I have the Original
- Port Royale 2 (ProtectCD , but I'm not sure)

All Games are on Cd, so the Backup should be on Cd too

Re: Media topology ignored

It's normal : the BWAs you made for these games don't contain any irregularities, do they ? So blindwrite ignores them, as they do not contain any useful information.

BTW, there is no way to backup Starforce3 games ATM. No need to waste cds trying the first two 'till a reliable solution is found.

Re: Media topology ignored

For Port Royale 2 just you have to use Alcohol because BlindWrite won't do the job , choose Protect CD profile for reading and writing switch on RMPS emulation in Daemon Tools and play the game using your backup
Forget Track Mania and Panzers they won't work and joint Operations has got no protection as you posted .

p.s. if you don't have Alcohol download the trial at www.alcohol-soft.com

Re: Media topology ignored

I tried it with Port Royale, as you said. But the Backup is not working. I can play it with Daemon tools and the Image, but not with the Cd.

Re: Media topology ignored

If you didn't read and write at slow speed like 4x try it and read the MDS at 1x, maybe it'll work then. If not posting again would be nice McSpeed

Re: Media topology ignored

I tried it two times. The first time with 4x and 10x
The second Time with 1x and 4x (I can't burn slower)
The image is working, the backup is not working

Maybe it's my stupid Cd-Rw , I don't like it, but I received it (garanty change) when my LiteOn broke.

Maybe it's not the right forum here, but when I want to make a copy with alcohol, the programm is not doing what I want.

Reading speed is alwas full throttle , only RMPS is working with the correct speed.
Writing is also at full speed, if I'm trying to copy with the copy wizard. I have to start it with the image burning wizard to keep the right speed.
