How do I convert Matroska files to DVD?

Hi, I am trying to convert an MKV file to DVD. The file plays perfectly in VLC, WMP and PowerDVD. When I try to open it in ConvertXtoDVD I get:
"At least one file can't be converted. See the log for more details."
The log reads:
"File xxxxxxxx.mkv is unsupported or not A/V file."
I have opened the file in MKVextract and it is just h264 video and ac3 audio, no subtitles.
VirtualDubMod crashes when I try to open the file in it as well.
What do people use to convert MKV files?

Many thanks

New version of CxD should be able to convert that just fine.

If that file crashed in VirtualDub - it might simply be bad file.
Anyway, no use guessing. CxD logs reveal lot more.

Re: How do I convert Matroska files to DVD?

Hey people!

If you come across an *.mkv file you want to convert to avi or DVD, the best tool is WinaviConverter.

Mainly because it's the fastest & most accurate converter out there (I have burned over 70 perfect quality DVD movies encoded by Winavi ) but also for some extra features like choosing the audio stream if you have a dual audio file (NOTE: only available in ver 7.7) choosing audio bitrate, aspect ratio etc.

Happy converting/burning
