| Help With Vso Photo -burner- I am having trouble getting the data burned from VSO photo on to an actual dvd. The problem is that I cannot install the patin-coffin driver because I do not have admin rights to my work computer. The vso program does not recognize my dvd driver. The vso program works great, but I cant get the slideshows burned to a dvd. Is there any way to bypass the admin rights and install driver? Is there any other way to burn to dvd? My dvd burner is sonic record now plus. If I burn the vso slideshow as a data dvd from sonic, will it play in a dvd player? I am trying to make photo dvd's as christmas presents and I am running out of time! I would grately appreciate any info. Thanks in advance |

| Re: Help With Vso Photo -burner- Hi there, Why don't you have Admin Rights on your PC ? You are using someone else's PC ? Can you get admin rights ? Have PhotoDVD create the output to a hard drive directory. It will generate a directory called VIDEO_TS. Now here are the rules for have a DVD that will work in a DVD Player. 1- Finalize the disk (Not just the sessions) 2- Have 2 directories on the DVD a) VIDEO_TS b) AUDIO_TS (Yes, it will be an empty directory) but for 100% compatibility, both need to be there. Then burn those 2 directory with any burning software. So yes, you can burn those 2 directory as DATA with any burning software. Use quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Maxell Made In Japan and burn slow, x2.0 or x4.0 MAX to prevent playback issues. Good Luck ! |

| Re: Help With Vso Photo -burner- I tried to burn dvd w/sonic and included two folders on the disk. The Video vso folder and made a blank folder for audio. The dvd burn was successful, but it will not play in my dvd player. When I put the dvd in my computer it automatically loads as a dvd and plays. My dvd player is a sony dvp-s360 and is probably at least 5 or 6 years old. Why will the dvd not play in my player? Do you think it will play in the newer dvd players? |

| Re: Help With Vso Photo -burner- Hi there, Are you using DVD-R or DVD+R media ? Some older players may not like DVD+R unless they are booktyped to DVD-ROM. Not all burners can booktype. Both my drives don't so I use DVD-R for a little bit more compatibility. As mentioned earlier: Quote:
