| Re: Help with subtitles Hello, I've hunted for an answer and I admit I'm fairly new to video so blast me if you must (lol) but it's an honest question. I've tried and tried to add the subtitle file to ConvertXtoDVD and I get the same log entry. Now I know the subtitles work as I've watched it on the computer in the .avi format. Both files are named the same with the different extensions. Here is the last log: 7/8/2007 2:12:53 PM warning Skipping subtitle file "The Longest Day.srt". But as you can see, it's plain text with plain numbers... Quote:

| Re: Help with subtitles Yes, I thought of that too but here's a sample of it: 00:05:00:. . .straining to be released against us. 00:05:04:But not a single Allied soldier|shall reach the shore. 00:05:08:Not a single Anglo-American|shall set foot on the beaches. 00:05:12:Whenever or wherever this invasion|may come, gentlemen. . . 00:05:17:. . .I shall destroy the enemy there,|at the water's edge. 00:05:23:Believe me, gentlemen. 00:05:25:The first 24 hours of the|invasion will be decisive. Like I said earlier, it works fine watching it on the PC. The only difference I see is that your's list frame numbers and mine uses a time frame. |

http://www.matroska.org/technical/sp...itles/srt.html Your .SRT file doesn't follow the standard. Wonder if it's an other flavor or .SRT or named .SRT but it's an other kind. I'll ask other members, and/or VSO on what format you have. Thanks for the sample... | |

| Re: Help with subtitles Hi, I have opened an official VSO Bug Report: http://bugs.vso-software.fr/view.php?id=1014 Asking them to support your .SRT format, and/or why it failed with v2.2.3. |

| Re: Help with subtitles Sorry, I haven't been here in a while... and it looks like my thread was kept alive lol I have another question. Is it possible to have the movie (in .avi format) be in english but add Russian subtitles (in .srt format)? The times that I did use subtitles, they dont keep up with the movie, always lagging behind. Is there a way to make everything consistent, even if it's in another language? Thanks you! |
