I have the same problem.

I have recently downloaded a trial copy of Blindwrite 5.0.7 from their website. I then decided to purchase a copy of the Blindwrite Suite. I was sent a licence key, but there wasn't any file to click on (it was just in an email). The email told me to "copy/paste the key into the registration form". Trouble is, what registration form?? Firstl, there's no downloadable copy of Blindwrite Suite, so I'm assuming that I apply the key to 5.0.7, in doing so making it a proper copy, secondly, even if that were the case, when I go to settings/register, its looking for a registration file. Help please?

Your email should look something like this

Quote:

NOTE: DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL, it is automatically generated.
To contact us browse to: http://www.vso-software.fr

We are happy to announce that a beta of BlindWrite 5 is available.

With this email you receive the new key to unlock BlindWrite 5 as you
registered within in the past year.

This key has a new format. After you have installed BlindWrite 5, you need

Hi again

Not quite. The email doesn't mention anything about attachments (there are none, even if it did). I have progressed (I think) a little though. I downloaded the old 4.5.7 version, and I was able to register that fine using the cut/paste method that the email states. When I ran the 'check for updates' it took me to the download page for the new version 5....so I downloaded it...only to find that my licence information wasn't retained (as I was told it would be) but instead, I was told that my 'update copy' was a ttrail vesion. Back to square one.

I've emailed their support. Thanks for your reply though.

Ah because you have an old key then you need to contact support to see if you are elidgable for the upgrade. If your key is very old then you will be expected to purchase a new license or stick with the latest version that works with your current key.

taken from their site:

Policy
Every license allows unlocking of the current product version available for download. It also includes a 1-year update protection. It means that during one year you can update for free to a minor or major version. After this year, you can choose to keep the last working version or to subscribe to an upgrade.

Thanks. Managed to get it sorted out pretty quickly with their support people. Thy have given me the file that I need for V.5. Now all I have to do is sort out the other problem, which is that when I try and copy something with it, it says that the cd-rom is incomplete (i have twoo - a reader and a writer)

make a new thread describing your problem in detail. Also list the hardware installed in your system, and which operating sytem you use, which drivers you use...ie VIA, Nforce, SIS, Intel.
as well as what other copy software you have installed.

Then it will be easier to help with your second problem.

By starting another thread, you will not change the subject of this thread to something entirely different, and since the original problem has been solved, this thread could actually be closed by the Moderator.
