I'm using ConvertXtoDVD to convert some MKV files over to DVD's (dual layers) and if the file has an audio stream as below (ac3 or mp2) there is audio ie. an audio stream in the output...

BUT..... If the audio stream is DTS, there is NO audio in the burned dvd (on ANY player or computer). Seems the stream just isn't there. See below log..

Are you using v2.2.2.256 ?

Lots has been fixed since !

DTS streams are copied, you need a DTS Capable audio/dvd system to play them !

Also, there was a bug, when a stream was COPIED it was not logged.

It's back in v2.2.2

Yes, I'm using 2.2.2.256...

Heres a 'sample' mkv file that again has NO audio... On my computer or DVD player.. Computer is brand new dual core - beast of a machine...

What does output stream Audio 0X0000 mean? Does that mean there is no audio? The sample played in VLC player has audio... Help me...LOL...

I need to test it
I got this movie from the newsgroups.

I confirm that DTS stream is present on DVD...
Correctly declared in the IFO Files
Perfect DTS sound stream playback on TV.

But you need a decoder for DTS stream.
If you don't have any decoder, you'll hear nothing at all.

This thread permits me to test ConvertXToDVD with DTS movies.

So for those of us that dont care for dts, but end up needing to deal with it....any plans to integrate a DTS-to-AC3 conversion into ConvertX? I have read up on doing that manually before converting...say an avi...and though it is possible its extremely painful. Conversion buit in would be GREAT.
