CopyToDVD missing an importent abort funktion!

When I start burning DVD-Video it would be nice if there was an abort on error function. I meen this msg pops up

"warning BUP/IFO of Video Title Set #2046132 are missing or not equal. The resulting DVD may not work."

Right about here I would like to cancel this whole operation, cause by now, I know there might be problems playing the movie later. BUT It just gets right on burning, destroying my DVD+R, with data, it has allready told me is useless

Please tell me it isen't needed to use Ahead Nero, to check if the movie is OK, before getting back to burning it with CopyToDVD!

This does not happend a lot for me, but when it does, I don't see why not to have this "abort on error option". Kind of a money saver!.

Example, read from bottom and up!

Start Write Buffer
Start writing...
Write speed x2,0
Buffer under-run proof enabled
Open Image file "D:\VIDEO_TS\COPYTODVD_07062003_201034_922.cache"
Finished browsing files - Data size 4,01 Gb.
warning BUP/IFO of Video Title Set #2046132 are missing or not equal. The resulting DVD may not work.
Start Browsing file structures
Checking Access layer availability
Using DVD Video creation mode.
Version 2.1.5.141
Title : CopyToDVD
ExeName : "C:\Programmer\vso\CopyToDVD\copytocd.exe"
OS : Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1 (Build 2600)

what is the problem ?

warning BUP/IFO of Video Title Set #2046132 are missing or not equal. The resulting DVD may not work. ?

MAY not work .. and the error is due to your dvd transcoder...
anyway it should happen all the time, and we choose to not add another dialog.. yes it can be annoying.. but if you use a 100% compliant transcoder it will not happen.

thanx for the reply

I am aware of that the error lies not in your program. BUT I would still like the option to cancel if an error accours.

Untill then I have found a workaround, I hate changing to another burning program just to check if everything is OK.

My workaround is:

In the option menu under "Writing Engine"
tick the "Do not write to media ( .iso creation mode )" option

If everything checks out OK, I start op the program once again and remove the tick, and the burn it.

It is a little anoying, but at least I know that when the burning starts, everything is A-OK

Still, thanx for such a great program.

filson

P.S. BUT you are right it dosen't accur if my media is correct, and I have not seen the error that often - Just wanted to swing the idea by you!

GREAT!!!

I choose to write this finale msg in this post and not by Email. just to make a "THE END"

And sure, in the future I'll msg ideas by Email, however this just started as a question, and I'll bet you get a lot of email anyway, and I just wanted to see if anyone would agree before I would compose an email to you.

This is a very happy customer signing off.

Thank you once again, for lisening to the "little" people

we prefer too receive too much emails than too few ... at least, even if we can't reply all the time, be sure we are listening to the customers voice.
