i keep getting this error in the latest trial version:

1st try
error Exception raised in conversion Thread with message "Access violation at address 02F49E59 in module 'avformat.dll'. Read of address 00000018"

2nd try
error Exception raised in conversion Thread with message "Access violation at address 03329e59 in module 'avformat.dll'. Read of address 00000018"

when trying to convert 2 divx3 files with ac3 5.1 with subtitles

i had a bit of a fiddle with the files and found out that if i remove the subtitles for the first file the conversion begins to take place.
the subtitles were in srt format. i used a program to convert to sub.idx and i got the smae error messages.

can anyone shed any light on this?
ive gone through the entire srt file that i think is causing the problem and there is nothing wrong with it at all, ie it is formatted correctly

If simply removing one subtitle fixes this - then there IS something wrong with that file.
There might be subtitle overlapping or some control characters embedded.

i just rechecked the srt with subtitle workshop and subresync and i couldnt find anything dodgy

ive attached the srt file here, ive just renamed it to txt so i can attach it, in case someone wants to have a look. im pretty sure i havent missed anything

I have no problems using that subtitle file.
Are you having subtitle with same name but other format in same directory?
In some cases this has been a problem.

well i combined both the avi files into 1. i then combined both srt files into 1 using subtitle workshop. and then it worked fine in convertxtodvd.
the dvd came out fine in the end. i checked it with videolan player before burning it.
