Choppy after burn

I converted an Avi file using Convertxtodvd and it was successful. When I play it in my DVD player, parts of it are very choppy or the audio doesnt sync up... any ideas?

Does the file play/work before you convert it?

How does the converted file (VIDEO_TS) play on your computer pre-burn?
