BW 5.0.7.122 Drive is not ready to extract.

Hi everybody,

i'm trying blindwrite (last version) to backup audio protected cds
I'm having the following strange problem:

the cd i'm trying to backup is cactus data shield 200 v5.0 protected.
i start blindwrite (last version, patin couffin driver v. 18).
but when i start reading the cd i get the following error and reading stops "Drive is not ready to extract."
forthermore, whe i try to refresh the media content in blindwrite it says it can't detect the media anymore. I have to open and reclose the cd tray to have it detected again.

I have this problem with all the three cd reader i use:
asus cd-s520/a
liteon dvd-reader HD166S
asus cd-rw 5224A

I've already tryed to reinstall blindwrite, patin couffin driver, but with no luck.

@Parker

And if he has purchased BlindWrite5 telling him to use CDRWin is not going to get BW5 working for him is it?

If BW5 does not work for him, What do you think he will do?
try another cd-recording so like Alcohol or Clonecd software, but in particular I advise Cdrwin for Cactus dadashield 100-200-300.
And while he will do that, wait another release of BW5 or try the old bw4.57 that works well with this protection too.

If you are a newbie on this field, you can try a trial of Clonecd to see if it works for you, with the help of useful profiles at clonecd forum of this site.
If you know how to extract audio tracks at cdrwin with the "sectors" method try that first.

Really good buy CloneCD this days. Yeah their DPM engine is really good. Also support for Securom,StarForce and TAGEC is good. Yeah I love CloneCD

Weak up. CloneCD was good few years back now it is only thing to museums (advise to Slysoft work on AnyDVD that goes better).

You are right man hehe
But I am supposing now that this future user of Clonecd or other cd-recording software will use it for backing up Audio-CD CDS and some easy datacds with both simple protections, although is only in theory
