Burning as 16:9 or 4:3 aspects.

Hi all!

I'm a newbie.

I can't understand why it is that when I set ConvertXtoDVD to burn a movie file as 4:3 aspect - it burns it as 16:9 widescreen. And if I set it to burn as 16:9 - it burns the same movie file as 4:3.

I can't see what I'm doing wrong.

My TV screen is 4:3. I want all my converted and burnt-to-disc movies to show on TV as 4:3.

I'd appreciate any help with this.

Also, what does 'automatic' mean here? Automatic what? How can it know what my TV aspect is?

Re: Burning as 16:9 or 4:3 aspects.

automatic means that is will just do it as the original was done. so if it starts out as 4:3 then the finished product after you run the software will be 4:3. in a nutshell, automatic means that nothing will be changed.

if it creates the opposite of what you want, why not just choose the opposite of what you want? that way youll get what you want. right?
