N.B : Alcoholer is way behind latest protection.. Safedisc 3.x, SecuROM 5.x are even not listed into the profile...

Beside that, it's a great program !!

I have added support to select which window would you like to see when you starts BlindWrite (Copy,Write,Read). And support to preload image to BW.

ok i just wanted to know.

Basically, BW5 seems to handle MMC2 but NOT all the unique specific cmd set for setting the speed for all drives.

List of unique cmd set :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gigarec, Powerec from Plextor,
JustSpeed from Ricoh
SMART-BURN from Lite-On
etc..

I beleive there's two way to solve this speed problem with the LiteON.

1- Enable SmartBurn (default) and FULLY support LiteON extended command set. (proprietary information)

2- Disable SmartBurn and rely only over MMC, MMC-2 command set. (public information)

Some burning software already provide the two scenario :

(Examples )
A)If you want to disable SmartBurn, go to Alcohol's Recording options and disable "Turn off Auto-select best write speed if possible"

B) Nero Burning Rom allows user to enable/disable the feature in the "choose drive" tab.

C) I even saw a command line utility called smartburn.exe


Finally,
I beleive that if "Automatic Mode" of BW5 can't work correctly (because of different copy protections read/write requirements) with the SmartBurn enabled by default, it should probably be DISABLED!!

So by disabling it, the BW5 software could probably set the speed by itself regarding the copy protection or identified ATIP. (And not get overriden by the LiteOn smart mode all the time..)

Also, (if needed) this could give back the speed control to the user using manually the GUI or the BWTweaker profile.

I need help with BW5Tweaker.

The BW5Tweaker - newest version - does not start blindwrite !!!

I can start the Tweaker an can make all my settings, but
when i select the buttun "Run BlindWrite" nothing happens,
no error message, no crash...... nothing.

BlindWrite alone starts without a problem !!!!

Check this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VSO and BlindWrite5 is there path ? If not try to reinstall BW

Hi all!

Since there is support for Profiles in BW5Tweaker, it is theoretical possible to add Profiles for specific copy-protections burned with specific burners!

Can you put in some predefined-profiles?

u can only save settings.

But where can I find the correct special settings for specific protections and drives?

A cooperation with any program like clonyxxl or different wouldn't be bad!

What do you need ? BW5 is automatic

tweaker isn`t like alcoholer or clony.
tweaker is just a program to remove autoplay,adjust speed,remove dvd protection,set how to write topology,upload bwa to topology for bw,set fast skipping value,etc... and the protections +settings for the games are automatic set by blindwrite 5

I often buyed PROTECTED Audio-CDs, that my CD-Player in my Car don't play.
I copied such one (with Cactus Datashield Protection), but after i burned it, there was also Computer-Data stored on it(the Player from the CD-author).

But CloneCD get rid of it!

Why?

clonecd should clone not remove.
