Seeing as how the first post in this thread dates back to 2002/2003, would you guys still recommend using 4.2.5 and the older versions when backing up new games released in the past few months?

yes but only bw 4.25,its because the latest blacklisted without the tweaker by Securom 4.85 and bw 4.25 has made working backup (without emulations) with bwa + twinpeak( from blindwrite ) .DO you have problem with backup using this version?and blindwrite only made working backup(without emulations) with plex premium from bw 4.53 to the latest.

Hi all, I'm a new member here...

Like most of you, I've had difficulty with the link to 4.2.5 or it simply didn't work.

I've had even more difficulty finding it elsewhere, but found this:

This site appears to get busy, so keep trying if you don't get it straight away. I have dl'd it myself and tested it to see if it was valid and the correct version, and it so appears in the initial installation screen.

FYI, and if I have violated any rule by this thread, please delete it.

if you really need the 4.2.5 version any more, you could at least manually go to

browse to the VSO-directory, and grab the "BlindWrite425.exe"

I am fairly new to BW. I have figured out how to make BWI, BWS and BWT files, but how does the newest v4.2.21.155 put them together? I don,t see anything like the 4.5.7 that you physically write the files to cd.
I checked the options and did a test write.
