I don't have it listed any where .. that's what I don't understand. It is not in add remove section, processes or services. ??? Guess It's named something I'm not seeing ...

I'm a new BW5 user and I'm also curious to find out if autoplay is always running, Win XP OS ? Don't see it in startup, task manager or services.

yes install the autoplay drivers, either by download the stand alone... or bw5. you don't need to be registered to use the autoplay . so install bw5 to your neighboors.. let it in trial .. that's the easiest way. I have to check if the stand alone is up to date.

if you installed bw5 its part of that it will be uninstalled when you uninstall bw5.

if you install the standalone autoplay it will say autoplay3 in your add remove programs.

i dont know the name of the process.

I like many here on this forum I’m sure, like to play around with this stuff. What I would like to do is have versions 4.2.5, 4.5.7 and BW5 installed.

So in order to do this I plan to uninstall BW5 .. install 4.2.5 and then 4.5.7 and copy the BWA builder from 4.5.7 over to 4.2.5 folder then reinstall BW5.

Now in order to use the older version and know if I have a backup that will work without autoplay I must uninstall BW5 every time ??? naaaa .. shouldn’t have to be that way. There has to be a way to stop autoplay from booting but I can’t find it.

Lapinou, please don’t take offence from this, the work you and your group have done is tremendous. I applaud what you have been able to accomplish. I just want to play around with it and one should be able to control what is booting up in one’s system. I just can’t find it yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I wonder that by installing BW5, then installing the standalone autoplay 3 and subsequently uninstalling autplay 3 if you could get a BW5 version on your machine w/o autoplay installed.

After installing BW5 1.20 I was able to disable autoplay by installing and then uninstalling autoplay 4. At least I think so, when BW5 now starts it no longer states autoplay is active.

Mine does not seem to work that way .. it says it's active even when uninstalling Autoplay 4 .. even with tweaker and click off anything to do with autoplay still BW5 says it's active ???

with the tweaker you just disable the writing of autoplay to the cd, but autoplay drivers are still on running in the back

as long as it doesnt say in your log backup tagged for autoplay then you are not using it in your backup.
