Now is there a way to fix this problem? I am trying to reburn the image file of a game which has been discontinued for a very long time, and I fear that this will be the only way for me to enjoy it once more. Please help me.

The game is Dragonball Z Legends for the Sega Saturn if you are curious, I own the orignal, but my disc was ruined when I moved =(

If you do not own the original anymore, we will not be able to help you. Sorry.

I do still own the original, however it is scratched and doesn't play properly anymore, and skips once the intro video finishes, Hence why i am trying to make another cd. whether you believe me or not is your choice, however I am still in need of your assistance regardless, as the software I am trying to use to accomplish this is not cooperating with me, so I would appreciate any help you can give. Please do not simply dismiss my plea, I'd like to be able to play my old game again.

Re: [Write ERROR], LBA: 512, Length: 16

What I mean is, if your original disc is not in working condition, then you effectively do not own the original anymore. This is because you can no longer make a copy from your original disc. And since you cannot make a copy from your original disc, any copy you are attempting to burn was not made by you.

Hence, we will not be able to help you. I sympathize - I've been there myself - but rules are rules.

Ok, well I want to play by the rules, so I am making an attempt now to burn a backup of a game that I own and is in complete working condition. Here is the log file for it.

Can you try remaking the image in MDS/MDF format? It could be that the CUE/WAV format is confusing Alcohol. I'm not even entirely sure if Alcohol officially supports that format.

I tested it a few times, and connecting to my firewire port instead of my USB and also changing the transfer method to RAW DAO seemed to help, It seems the program was getting confused because the data format that was there is odd as you said, and i think needs to be burned RAW data mode. I am going to conduct a few more tests which will include backing up the disc directly to see if a copy on the fly will yield different results.

It turns out that the problem was as simple as switching from USB to Firewire it seems, because now it is working fine. Thanks for the help anyway, i'll be able to revisit the nostalgia now once again, and also burn any other backups i'd like to make directly to disk which will save my hd the space which it is starting to lack.
