| Thanks club.cdfreaks.com: backed-up my "THE THING" no problemo! This may be a slightly older issue here at club.cdfreaks.com, but I just wanted to say a big "thanx" to all y'all!I took a guess that THE THING would be copy-protected, so I went searching for info re its copy protection and how to back it up, and came across your wonderful site! ![]() I have to admit I firstly tried my CLONECD 4.2.0.2 with the SECUROM *NEW profile, and it didn't work - so I came back here and read about ALCOHOL 120% ... ![]() What an amazing program! Using the SECUROM *NEW (V4.X) profile and taking things easy at 12x read/4x write (unticked EMU), I made a perfect backup with my LITE-ON LTR-48246S ... absolutely schweeeet!! So when any little ones want to play, I don't have to cringe by leaving them with my original! Cheers people! |

| it is possible you have to push the "look" button and then move your mouse BUT you wont be able to move if you in the "look" mode, a major fault in the game. if you dont push the look button you wont be able to look up or down, only left and right. thats why they put in the auto aim option i think. at some points in the game it can be frustrating not be able to look up and walk at the same time. thats what i meant with adventure controls with a shooter game.

| Actually, I just got it for Xmas, so I haven't really gotten into it yet- not much past the start anyways!! But Maelstrom is right - not the most convenient movement routines, but I'm such a big fan of the film, y'know?!!! ![]() Quote:

| So I've been playing it when I've had a bit of spare time recently, and I must say it isn't blowing me away ... its movement is similar to Max Payne but quite limited - thus frustrating. And so far gameplay is quite ho-hum ... disappointing overall I guess. I'll still persist for a bit - just thought I'd post as I was asked what I thought of 'The Thing' - but I never finished Max Payne either - they're just not HL, JKII, RTCW, or even Duke Nukem 3D, y'know??!!
