Re: Is it possible to add DPM support for my drive?

Not all drives are capable of extracting DPM from the discs. Your drive is already in the database, so there's no need to have it added. You could try extracting at different speeds. Slowest is usually best for CD, but not always. Try increasing the speeds in varying increments until you find a speed that will extract the DPM. If you can't, then your drive probably isn't capable of it.

Re: Is it possible to add DPM support for my drive?

I think i tried DPM on ~6 drives from different brands, but it didnt work....

Do u know if there is a list of working drives? Are there certain brands which are more likely to support DPM?

Well, there's a new method being worked on which may allow more drives to be able to extract DPM. No ETA on when it will be available though. Just keep an eye out.

Thats nice

But untill then, can u give me some hints which drives i should try? (brand, CD-ROM/DVD-Writer/CD-Writer?).

Cause the original CD is quite expensive, and i need to make a working backup asap.

I've always had very good luck with LiteOn drives.
