Overburn a dvd+/-

I checked the overburn option in the recording preference. But when i try to burn, a box pops up with a not enough space message!! Is the latest version supports the overburn function?

Re: Overburn a dvd+/-

Overburning DVD+R media is limited to a few drives, and no drive has been reported capable of overburning DVD-R media.

Going by your signature, I don't think you have a drive capable of overburning.

Drives that can overburn DVD+R:

Plextor PX-760, PX-716, PX-712 (perhaps PX-755 with future firmware)
BenQ DW1655, DW1650, DW1640

so Alcohol will actually check the burner model before overburning!? Cause I just want it to start even if it will fail, just want to experiement it.
