I just ran Alcohol 120% to burn an image file to a CD-R and to my amasement my LiteON DVD-ROM/CD-RW Combo had dissapeared. I only just installed XP and SP2 so I'm not sure whether it was the same before I installed SP2 or not. I uninstalled Alcohol and installed it again but still, no drive. Nero 6 works fine but I'd rather use Alcohol to burn images.

Anyone know what's gone wrong?

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post. The drive in question functions perfectly well in Windows and in Nero, it's only in Alcohol 120% I can't see the drive. Those links look like they are resolving a problem where the drive disappears completely and cannot be used even to read CD's.

Problem solved . I just reinstalled Alcohol and installed the update and now it's working again .#
