| NFS_UnderGround_2... Help please!!! I can not make a good back up copy of my game to save my life. I get this window after about 30 seconds at the flash screen. "Cannot locate the cd-rom. Please eject & reinsert the cd-rom, select ok and restart application" I know that the CP is SafeDisc 3.20.030 This is what I used, Sony DVD/CD burner = DRU-820A AMD athlon XP 300+(2169MHZ) OS =XP home edition 5.1 SP2 Alcohol 120% version 1.9.6 Two WD HDD's at 250GB & 160GB (I also have a Samsung SW-240B cd burner) The sony took 2 hours and 22 minutes to read the disc. (Disc read errors at 1228 to 10547 took 2 hours 4 minutes by itself) I used the default setting for SafeDisc 2/3/4 In the options... Reading = Starting A.S.S. is 5, Jump F is 100, DPM = high, Lock is checked, enable enhanced W.S. unchecked. Data type settings = skip R.E. & Fast S.E.B. both checked, (I have no virtual drives mounted) Emulation = RMPS and ignore media type both unchecked. Launch b.f.o.a120% is checked. Extra emulation = nothing checked. I believe I might be screwing up in the "emulation area" as I am clueless about emulation. Are both drives being cd or dvd burners a problem? I know some CP apps check the media and cd-roms (readers) can not check the media. If this is a problem, how do I solve that issue? Can a "1:1" copy be made of this CP or does it have to be emulated? If I need emulation, what are the exact settings and how do I get the emulation app running in the background when I want to use my back up copy? Does having Alcohol120% on the computer that I am playing the game on cause a problem (black listing) How can I get my Sony DRU-820A to not take over 2 hours to read the disc read errors? My old liteon 32123S would go through the read errors in about 3 minutes. Are my Samsung and Sony burners able to deal with todays CP apps? Sorry for the long worded question but I wanted to give you all the info I could so you guys can help me. I have in the past made backups of a lot of my games. The last time though was over 2 YEARS ago using CloneCD version 4.2.0.2 and a liteon LTR 32123S firmware XSOF or a liteon 52x32x52 on a pentium II 266 MHZ and the best CP then was SafeDisc 2.51 THANKS for all your help, Jpnski
