need help, is my burner dead

All of a sudden I get an error if I try to burn a cd. I havent installed or removed any applications, games or whatever since2 weeks, Last week my burner was doing allright
Now As soon I click the "start-button" to write a cd, I can hear the cd spin as mad and after about 1 or 2 minutes it pops out and its still empty.
I have tried it with alcohol, clonecd adn nero and none of the progs work now.
If I check the logs they all have 1 thing in common:
[04/09/03] - Spindle Servo Failure

does any1 know what this means

also here is some part of my alcohol log:

forgot to mention, I use the type of media for some time now and never failed me before, but just to be sure i went out and bought 4 other brands of media but still got the error
I also tried different speeds but no luck.
Also tried different images but they all got the same error, including 4 images I burnt last week which are fine.
