| Lite-on 523252 can't burn Securom v. 4x? Hi, I have a problem burning a securom v4.8 protected game. I used Alcohol to get a good image file, which I loaded on the stealth rom(simulated rom) and worked fine. However when I tried to burn it onto a disc using a Lite-on 321210 burner, the process was successful but the disc is not playable. So I figured maybe it was the burner. Then I burned it again by using another burner, a Lite-on 523252. The outcome is the same, no luck. So what is the problem? Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks. |

| If you are simply using alcohol's securom new v4.x datatype settings and not burning a twinpeak patched image, you'll need to enable RMPS emulation before playing the copy. If you're attempting to play from a writer, you'll also need to enable Ignore media type.

| Hi Philamber, Sorry, I don¡¯t quite get it. How do I enable Ignore media type about a backup cd? Isn¡¯t it on stealth rom? I have no problem playing the game by using the image file. I just can¡¯t copy it onto a blank cd and make it playable. Thank you for the reply. |

| If you play your backup from a cd writer and some dvd-roms, the protection can tell if the cd is a cdr/w. If you go into alcohol's virtual drive options, you will see 'hide atip/medi' check. Make sure it is checked.

| After checking out a few articles about Securom 4.8, I have a rough idea about it. And I have successfully burned a Securom 4.8 protected game by using Alcoholer and the Twincreator in it. Thanks for the reply. iemortal |
