I Cannot Read/View CDs after ripping with Alcohol!

Ok, a funny thing keeps happening in WIndows with my Lite-On drive, I have the 4816H DVD/CDRW combo Liteon drive and latest Alcohol. After I rip one game and I try to rip another I cannot read anymore CD's in the drive! Sometimes even when I restart the computer I still cannot read the CD. In windows explorer I cannot even open up the CD and it does not matter what kind of CD. When I rip the CD it rips fine and I can mount the image but as soon as I pop in another one it is not read! The funny thing is if I try to make an image in ALcohol it tells me the correct Lenght of the CD! But I cannot open up the CD in explorewr when I click on the drive? Anyone know what might be causing this and why it suddenly starts working again after a while?

Does it occur with other software? Is the problem still seen if you use another drive? By the sound of it, it might be your drive going bad.

Re: I Cannot Read/View CDs after ripping with Alcohol!

Sorry if I'm reawakening this from the abyss but I too have this problem and this is the only place I've found that might know something about it. I've had this problem in the past because of drive mounting software and had to wipe windows to get it fixed. Now it has happened again so I'm wondering if anyone can help. lite-on drive too, dvd-rom. had problems with cd-rw drive too but that somehow fixed itself. help plaese?
