| Data Protection I have downloaded Alcohol 120% and understand the basics..but..I am trying to backup "Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith". I place the DVD in the DVD drive Sony DVD Rewrite U18a...but the "datatype" box where I nominate the protection does not come up. If I switch to virtual drive or may other CD Drive ..HP ..it does come up. Problem is the DVD is not in those drives . How do I fix this Thanks T |

| Re: Data Protection Currently, in Alcohol the datatype for PC game dvds does not display. What I would suggest is that you scan the game to find out what copy protection is on the game. Use a program called A-ray scanner. If Securom than tick the DPM box and then continue on. Dependent on the protection, then the backup may work from the virtual drive. I may be wrong but I don't think Alcohol can play a physical backup game DVD yet. Hope this helps. |
