Can Alcohol burn Warcraft 3? - Club CDFreaks

Hey I was wondering if this program, Alcohol 120%, can it succefully burn Warcraft 3 so that the new burned copy can install and play the game (without a cd crack)?

Yes, it can.

First of all, you need to create your image using securom 4.x new setting. You must read sub-channel and dpm @1x.

You have two options to burn. First, you can use rmps emulation. This is the most reliable method. The downside is that you will require alcohol 120 or daemon tools with rmps emulation enable to play the game.

Your other option is to download alcoholer, and apply twinpeaks to your image. You can then burn this patched image and it will work in 90% of drives. You don't need emulation in this case.

Andareed is correct if your copy was mastered recently. However, if your copy is the original release like mine, use the securom new (not securom new 4.x) datatype settings. You do require an accurate sub-code reader/writer combination for the copy to work though.

Thanks I have sucessfully burned copies of Warcraft 3 and its expansion: TFT. I used Alcohal to make an image then downloaded the BWA files and used Twinpeak and then alcohal again to burn it. It works great. I am not quit sure exactly what it did though, I am searching the net to learn more about how it works and what it all means. I got an error while burning Warcraft 3 but it still works just fine to play it with... I am not sure if I can install with it but all i need is to be able to play the game with it.

am i wrong or don't you need bwa-file for warcraft 3??
i though it was securom < 4.77...

Old warcraft did not require bwa. Newer releases use newer securom and require a bwa/mds.

i have burnt warcraft 3 reign of choes and it installes the game but when i try n play it it says that make sure the disc is in the cdrom drive and retry
