AOM Backup Problems

Hello Anyone...first post so bear with me,

About two years ago I went through the process of making lots of coffee cup coasters in trying to backup my kids AOM Titans CD2 (the play disc). Suffice to say it worked eventually but after a lot of wasted discs.

Two years on the kids have trashed the afore said copy and I'm back to make another copy...but can I remember how I did it..No!

Part of the problem may be that I'm on a new machine since then, an IBM T43 running XP SP2 with a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ822S. Its about a year old but runs great.

I have installed the full version of A120% 1.9.6.5429 (I'm sure I used A120 last time) and I have a full version of Nero 7 Ultra with a couple of imagedrives mounted and running no problems.

When I tried to do a copy, the Safedisc 2/3/4 Datatype told me "No RMPS Info in Source, you are not able to make a copy using this datatype!", so I used the Safedisc 2/3/4 EFM*datatype for a disc copy which it burned to disc (Verbatim CD-R 52x 700MB) using Maximum burn speed (actual speed was about 9x or 10x) and as expected I made my first coaster of the day - AOM asked for correct disk, although to explorer all files present and correct.

I then added a virtual drive in A120, and then did just a disk read to make an ISO image using the basic Safedisc and then another with the Safedisc 2/3/4 datatype - both mounted with A120's virtual drive and both played fine. So I guess I can at least read from the disk correctly. Note : when I tried mounting the image in Nero Imagedrive, it mounted OK but was useful as the coaster I made.

So is that I'm using the wrong safedisc setting? Does my drive need differnent write settings? Does my drive support this?

Help

Re: AOM Backup Problems

I could not find your drive on the support drives list. Please send me a complete system report from within Alcohol to robert@alcohol-soft.com and i'll pass it on to the devs and ask them to add support for it.
