When I do reboot, Windows gets so far loading then just resets in a continous loop until i select last good known profile. I have seen many posts

I had the very same experience, until I disabled my soundcard in the device manager to prevent it from loading it's drivers.

'Alcohol 120%' obviously has a problem with them. My soundcard is a 'Terratec soundsystem DMX', but because there isent' any XP specific drivers available, it is recognized as a 'ESS Maestro2E PCI'. Fortunately for me, I could enable my onboard soundcard instead, as a temporary solution.

This Action also allowed 'D-Tool' V.3.29 to run on my computer.

At the moment I'm running a dual boot XP-Pro/98se and I
did not experience the same problems in win98. At least not with 'Alcohol 120%'.

Thanks BeeR_DoG! Disabling some c-mixer drivers makes it work fine! Hope this will be of some use to other people.

Yes D-tools 3.26/3.29 did act very much like 'Alcohol 120'.

Glad I could help.

Some users reported that reboot issue, so it's a known issue. As there only a few complaints it will be difficult to find what's causing that, but the Alcohol devteam is investigating it.

Same problem here

I installed Alcohol under windows xp. It will work if I don't reset cpu.
When I reset my CPU or power down all it does is keeps rebooting itself up.
untill I get to a screen where I have to select ( Go back to old setting)

I can used Alcohol on my other cpu using Windows 98 without a problem.

Im running XP Pro ver 5.1 build 2600 I my self am running a SoundBlaster Live Sound card and no forced Hardware

I have no problems with Alcohol 120% have installed minor fixes for XP from microsoft but I am not running the SP1 cause I heave heard it causes a world of hurt on the PC and have seen the error list at the microsft web paige and well desided against it

Any way has any one tryed running Alcohol in compatibillity mode?? a nother thought is to disable the audio in sound efects in options (alcohol) far fetched I know have you tryed disconecting the CD drives ?? just to try to narrow it down to a software on software prob or a software on hardware prob. but since I havent had a problem with it and havent had a chance to play with it I dont have and ansuer for you any way just playing around with the thoughts in my head at 4:15 am so dont take me to serious

The version of Alcohol I am running is 1.3.5 build 1112
