| alcohol saids one thing, does the other? what happed was, i tried burning an image to a vibatim 16x dvd+r with alcohol, the thing is i was told that it does not support burning the media at 8x, alcohol then auto lower the speed to 6x and began burning, however, i soon noticed that as it's burning, the burning speed continue to increase bit by bit, and by the end of the burn it was already at 8x, now this worries me:
-alcohol said the media does not support 8x, thus it switches to 6x, but how come the speed increase back to 8x as it's burning? is there a problem with alcohol?
-i noticed the image i burn to the disc reads very slowly by my liteon 1693s burner, but then again the drive reads everything slowly, though i'd like to know if this is the result of what alcohol did, or was it simply my drive?
one more thing, i was trying to make an iso of my EU copy of doom3 (3cd version), though i kept on getting continuous message of "cannot read at 1XXX", i selected the correct setting and still nothing, so what's wrong?
thanks for the help, alcohol is version 1.9.5 (build 3105) |
