Alcohol Disables My CD-RW!! - Club CDFreaks

Did it happen to you? I can't use my CD-RW since I installed Alcohol 120% I tried uninstalling EVERYthing except my operating sys (XP) but still won't work. and I can't backup cause the CD-RW won't work. Any help?

I had the same problem. I had to update my aspi layer. All is good now.

this is the latest release, but some would say that version 4.60 is better, I have no trouble with this latest release.

This is a shame because Adaptec ASPI-dependent programs are ignoring the built-in SCSI Pass Through Interface provided by MS in WinXP. If Alcohol, or any other late-release program, is relying on a Third-Party program, is this a good or bad thing?
