Alcohol 120% and CCD

I've been reading "Alcohol 120%: Copying SecuROM 4.8x protected games with no emulation". It says
Quote:
Start by making an image of the play cd of the game you want to copy. The datatype setting to use is securom new (not securom new 4.x) for this purpose and the image must be saved in CloneCD format and not in alcohol’s native format. Reading speed doesn’t matter. Max speed will be fine.
However, when I start the Image Making Wizard, I never get an option to select the securom new datatype. Also, after clicking next on the wizard, I only have the option to save the image as MDS, not CCD. I need to save it as CCD so I can use it in TwinPeak.

Any help would be appreciated. And sorry if this has been discussed before. I'm new and couldn't find anything in search.
Thanks.

Re: Alcohol 120% and CCD

Are you trying to copy a cd or a dvd? If a dvd, you can't do it with the twinpeak method. If it's a cd and if you've selected Securom New as the datatype setting, there will be two choices of image format in the drop down box for Image format on the screen where you are asked to indicate where you want the image file to be saved ; Media Descriptor Image file (*.mds) or CloneCD Image file (*.ccd). Choose the latter.

Ah.. It's a DVD. If this method doesn't work with DVDs, is there a way to copy DVDs with SecuROM so no emulation is needed?
