Advice on creating an image in Alcohol 120% - Club CDFreaks

I understand how to use Alcohol for copying discs & images.

However, I am more interested in creating my own disc images from files & folders on my HDD (functionally identical or similar to MagicISO Maker).

As far as I understand it, that is not possible. Is this correct? If it is, do enlighten me.

If is not, is there anything that extends Alcohol 120%, even command-line utilities?

Nero, Roxio & the like left me with a bad taste, so I am firmly against considering anything of the sort.

Alcohol presently cannot do this, however this is in the pipeline but no ETA of when it will be ready.

You could try UltraISO which can do what you ask for as well as many other things you may or may not need with ISO and other disc images.

UltraISO is not freeware but there's an evaluation version you can download. I'm not sure what the limitations are because I have been running the full version for a long time.
