I'm trying to blank some crappy ads out of a ripped DVD using Blanker... it comes up with the message "Error reading input VOB: Unsychncronised" each time, and I've ripped the disc 4 separate times, each time failing on the blank, and I've no idea what the message means.

There's a log attatched. Does anyone know a way around this? Some way of changing the settings?

mind telling us what dvd this is?

Yeah sure, I wouldn't have thought that it was important, so I didn't bother mentioning it; it's 'Kinsey'.

Thanks, I read it but I didn't understand A THING. I can only just about use VOB Blanker... I only use the most basic functions, which is to blank cells.

Would someone mind explaining what the link at Doom9 is all about?

One simple Question...what software did you use to RIP the DVD to your harddrive?.
Try using Dvd decrypter or Dvdfab decrypter to remove all protection, then retry Vobblanker. I've backed up many movies using Vobblanker to remove
unwanted material and so far not yet encountered a problem.

Kinsey needs either AnyDVD or the new DVDFab Decrypter. DVD Decrypter won't cut it, IIRC.

I used DVD Decrypter though going from Gurm, I'll try DVDFab Decrypter to see if it makes any difference.

Kinsey was right on the cusp of Arccos protections that DVD Decrypter wasn't updated for. The final DVD Decrypter update might have fixed it for R1 releases of Kinsey, but I'll bet the R2 has newer Arccos.
