I have come across a dvd I cant backup. Just came out.
I have most software for the tasks. I have only come across this once before after i reformatted my hard drive, (virus creators should be castrated, for making peoples lives miserable!!!!!!)
Dvd decryptor says some error.
Think nero said UDC EAN code. Decss says its not encoded, and didnt transfer any files over. Nero6, well I dont really know how to use. I came across the new dvd decryptor excellent program, does it all, love it but doesnt support files over 4 gb, so couldnt use.
Primo no good (except for ps2 games)
Clone wont do it.
Smart ripper says file locked so tried playing with power dvd but both programs just crash.
Any suggestions? PLEASE?
I realise I may have some files missing that I had before, that helped with this. I have reinstalled aspi all 4 are installed.
I am just downloading net framework to use clad dvdxp. This is one i used to use before I found better ways, but I know it is reliable, just takes forever!

Well, it was a whole pile of numbers and non comprehendable crap, and it was only after trying a lot of different programs that I posted asking for any suggestions.I couldnt remember what it said. From reading this, someone with experience might know what it means when there are some files locked. Nero also had read errors. I tried the program to identify the protection and it said none. Another program said there was css/cppm protection.On dvd decrypt site is shows a picture of them decrypting, and the same protection is in theres too, so then realised must be something else.I have tried dvd decryptor before and it was fine, but I just reformatted. I even updated dvd decrypt. So thought there was enough info here. Once I learn this problem, if someone posts a message identical/ similar to mine, I would be able to help.

It's the non comprehendable (sic) crap that everyone else needs verbatim to diagnose your problem. Try cleaning the disk.

Use DVD decrypter and copy the exact error messages you get.

on this site there is a post i found yesterday that someone copied down the whole lot of numbers, from dvd decrypt, same as my error,some time ago and they didnt get a reply! Anyway if you cant help, dont reply.

ibod was trying to do just that when he asked u to paste what the error msg was. just cuz a post went unanswered some time ago doesn't mean that new ppl on the forum (such as ibod) can't answer the question or at least attempt to help u (which he was trying to do). as i can see from the progress (or lack thereof) in this thread and ur other thread (presumably about the same problem), withholding information isn't going to help.
