One use I could see if you want to put 2 movies onto the one dvdr with a simple menu. Encode to 2gig with DVD2One, etc. Then import the VOB files directly, set up menu and compile.

| Thanks, Chickenman, I only did on project yet, on a DVD+RW with my Canopus hardware avdc100 and (demo) Scenalyzer software, i like the simpleness of TMPGenc DVD Author, no re-encoding, and the controll you have for the menu-making, i guess you're right, that there is some room for improvement, but hey, it's just released, and maybe the designers are reading this too..... ![]()

| This prog seems pretty decent and fast but it also appears to be very picky on the files it accepts. I too have been getting a number of error messages regarding DVD compliancy. Also to this point, while I can put something transcoded with DVD2One or DVD95Copy into it to create a menu, the reverse is not true. If I want to "shrink" something created with DVD Author, neither DVD2One nor DVD95Copy will accept it. I'm assuming it's due to the fact that DVD2One is fussy about files that were altered by another prog, other than a ripper, of course. Mike ![]() |
