which software to re-encode?

ok im going sort of nuts now. i bought a dvd+r burner and i might take it back.

1) dvd+r is more expensive

2) its only 4.3gb

3) i cant fit any dvd`s on it unless i re-encode

4) whats the point?

5) whats the best software to re-encode with eg. best quality (time is not an issue)?

i have some ideas, rempeg? cce? tmpgenc? dvdtodvdr?.

is there a simple way to dvd-9 to dvd-5 cause the guides ive read are somewhat complicated eg. a program which takes dvda to dvdb and re-encodes to make it fit.

Best QUALITY of re-encodes will come from CCE or even better from Canopus Procoder, but this is quite slow.

DVD2ONE est excellent, très rapide et permet de sélectionner les bandes son que l'on souhaite ainsi que les sous-titrage.
