Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I and others have said that Ripit4me would not rip 310 to Yuma.
Well, we were wrong.
Please try this approach: (When you have the option to change the file name in choosing the destination folder ..take out th <> symbols before and after the name. <3:10_To_Yuma> should look like this 3:10_To_Yuma)
-Use Wizard mode (not One Click)
-I also selected Movie Only
-The Create PSL screen takes a long time, so be patient
-Skip Step 3B
-At Step 4, do the Cleanup
-Then Open with Shrink
-Select reauthor
-Youll get 3 Main Movies, select Movie 1, (2:02:27)
-then proceed as normal (I selected Deep Analysis, just to be safe)

Thanks to Setarip at Doom 9 for putting me onto this approach.

BTW, in DVD Decrypter, its faster if you have "Cycle tray after bad sectors" enabled:
Go to Tools>Settings>General Tab> select "Cycle tray after bad sectors", located in lower left

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

It appears that there are several ways to rip Yuma:
1. Ripit4me as per post 1
2. Dvdfab Platinum
3. Free Dvd fab Hd decrypter, but Fab output files have to be cleaned by Fixvts before DvdShrink will accept them.
4. Also hear Anydvd works

Everything works, the movie was never a problem to begin with, if you had software that actually had support.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I guess it's lucky that I create a folder every time with the movie's initials, for this one it was 310TY, & that is what my destination is for the rip. Twice lately though, it hasn't worked.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I used anydvd and clonedvd to backup entire dvd WITHOUT any problems. Usually dvdfab is slighly ahead but this time their not and may take a day or 2 for them to come up with solution to backup this dvd -as to what I have read but I may be incorrect. good luck! I also did what jamos did and changed thr directory filename and taking out< and> but I am not sure if that matters.

Alan, if everything works, why are there so many threads of problems with ripping this movie, even after youve had to merge several Yuma threads.
IMHO, the movie is a problem, and the number of threads found both on this subforum and other forums attest to this.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I never had a dvd directory with the < and> in it so I deleted it and I thought it was weird they had put that in. Thanks jamoskeaq3 for the Info on that.
This forum is to help other member solve problems but I think this dvd had some structure problems or protection on it. Hope its solved so everyone can back this up without problems. Good Luck to all!

Of course it matters - try creating a folder in windows with one of these characters. It's just a little trick by the studio for the unknowledgeable.

@alan1476 - so sorry we can't provide support any more for the R word. But it seems setarip and jamoskeag3 are doing a good job. Interesting how inventive people can get when they experiment.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I think it's so kewl that although updates have ended long ago for ripi4me and dvd shrink,
they still can do 95% of all movies out there..

I use dvdFab platinum quite a bit now but still like going to ripit4me/shrink/image burn in that order when I'm not in a hurry every few rips or so and the puppys usually always works.
Even a lot of Sony movies which surprises me..

I believe Blades of Glory was the last one to pull this stunt, right or wrong?

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

Yeah it eventually stops the 100% cpu after 3 minutes. I just figured it was locked up and killed it. The PGCEdit method of creating a PSL will work also. Takes a little longer than the 3 minutes 100% CPU on RipIt4Me but it works. You can also get a working structure by editing the IFOs with PGCEdit. Before RipIt4Me came out I used this method. It still works, just a little time consuming.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I have tried for two days now using ripit4me. Do we know if this method works for full disk mode? What is step 3b and what does it do? I'm use of using one click mode.

I think it should work for full disc, but may take longer.
Youll come to step 3b when you use wizard mode and its labelled as such.
It says something like do you want to remove small stuff. You do not want to do this.
So give Wizard mode a try.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

I can't wait to get home and give it a try for a minute I thought Ripit4me had met it's match. As far in the U.S. the only thing it can't do at this point that I know if all the recently released New Line movies.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

1-Click, Full Rip will work, but I had created a folder before ripping with the movies initials & that's what I used as target destination, thereby I guess changing the label.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

Yup. RI4M works for whole DVD. I used the wiz, deleted the <>. I did NOT skip 3b. Used VOBBlanker to further clean off some stuff. Played fine in media player classic. Burning on Verb DL as I type.
If you skip 3b, it'll still work, but there's more cleaning to do w/ VOBBlanker.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

ripit4me keeps crashing on me right before initializing dvd decryptor. How did you guys manage to make it work?

latest dvdFAB HD decryptor 4 chokes on me @66% to 69% giving me a read error message.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

Create a new folder on the hard drive that you are going to rip to, call it 310TY & use that as your target directory for Dvd files in RipIt4Me.

Re: Ripit4me Rips 310 to Yuma

Hey all! Just joined because I was looking for an answer to the 3:10 to Yuma problem. I've been using Magic DVD for about a year now and it's ripped every movie I've tried except for Yuma and one other. I even dug up Decrypter and Shrink, and still no luck. That's when I googled it and came across you guys. I went back to Magic, removed the <> and changed the name of the destination folder and the output file. I also used the 2:02 version. All of these seem to have done the trick as it's chugging away right now. I stopped it about 20M in to see what I had so far and it started up just as it should.
