Problems burning "Ray"

Trying to backup the movie "Ray" staring Jamie Foxx.

Tried 2 different originals and came up short. Forgive me if this movie has already been addressed, I did use the search feature and found too many other topics using the word "ray".

Typically, I use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. Didn't work.
When those 2 fail I use CloneDVD2 and this is the first time I've ever had a title fail using this app.
Gave me an "APS" error, and a search on here suggested AnyDVD would take care of that. It did, however the next error I got using CloneDVD2 was a read error. Suggested I clean the disc. After cleaning and clicking retry, it moved forward a few frames then froze again.

Then I tried DVDFab and no go there.

Hopefully someone could help steer me in the right direction.
Many thanks in advance!!
BD

Re: Problems burning "Ray"

i would agree the source disc must be either badily pressed or scratched / dirty but i would imagine it being one of the last two.

how many disc have you wasted so far????? go buy the original j/k

No coasters....but then I haven't even got that far yet.
Well I've tried twice on 2 seperate occaisions and came up with the same result. Of course, I could have been the luckiest person in the world and rented the same bad disc twice

Any other suggestions if not a bad disc?

thanks for the replies!

Re: Problems burning "Ray"

Thanks guys, I did get another original disc and it turns out the first 2 were probably scratched or something. This one worked fine with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink.

Thanks again!!
