NeroVision Express Problem

Hi, first of all let me appologise if this is in the wrong section but I thought it fitted this section the best.

I've just got NeroVision Express 2 (as part of the Nero 6 suite) and am having a slight problem with it.

I set up my DVD and add all the files, create all the chapters etc, then I get to the actual transcoding process which seems to be working fine. I then leave my PC to let it tinker on at its own pace as many of you may know that this process takes some time. When I come back an hour or so later the program has shut itself down with no sign of a finished transcoded DVD.

Good eh?!

Anyone else had this problem or know why its happening?

Anything here of help? Heat? Video/sound drivers corrupted? Are you in Win98? Using an nForce board?

I'm afraid there doesn't apear to be anything of help there unfortunatly.
Heat is a possibility as I'm using a laptop but I really doubt it as I'm using a lot of even more heat eating programs such as hi-end rendering applications such as Poser5 and I never have any problems there so I doubt heat is the problem.
How would I know if the video or sound drivers are corrupted? I don't think they are?!?!
I'm using WinXP Home with Service Pack 1.
Thats a negative with the nForce board.

My laptop is a Pentium4 2.53Gig Processor with 1Gig of DDR-RAM. I'm using a totally legit serial number that I purchased the other day with version 6.3 of the Nero suite. I've got a GeForce4 64MB Graphics card. I have Norton Antivirus Pro 2003 running in the background however I always disable it before starting any CD/DVD writing software.

nerovision problem

Got the same problem as you-after 45 minutes or so of transcoding, it just dissapears...All drivers are brand new, so is the program version from Ahead, PC at P4 2.6GHZ, 512 MB memory, 80GB HDD, geforce2 card...have been copuying DVDs with Recode without any problem so far but Nerovision will not work...I tried writing with image recorder and writing to HDD but the same problem happens...

Re: NeroVision Express Problem

I've got the same problem.

My PC transcodes for about 3 hours and then disappears. I'm running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed, the very latest patches from Ahead for Nero 6 are installed. All drivers are upto date. Its an Athlon XP 1800 with 1Gb Ram, 80Gb HDD (over 50Gb free), nVidia Ti4400 GeForce card. The largest project I've managed to burn is 1Gb. Anything larger and it seems to run out of memory and close down without a trace.

On the Ahead website, it inidicates that this problem was fixed in a previous patch but this clearly isn't the case. I've contacted their support several times but yet to receive a reply.

I have this problem also. At least I'm not alone. This is with the latest upgrades as of December 3, 2004.

Re: NeroVision Express Problem

I managed to find a solution that worked for me. It is a codec program called ffdshow. Here it is.

You can google to read more about it.
