Nero Recode DVD Decrypter Question

Playing with nero recode I am trying to reauther Lord of the rings CARTOON and unlike DVD shrink the program doesnt automatically use DVD decrypter or whatever it is that DVD shrink uses to rip the DVD so your required to decrypt it first to what? An iso file? Then you have to do what? Mount that iso file with some program onto a virtual drive? Then use Nero Recode? This is a lot of extra steps... I have tried the Iso write setting with dvd decrypter and nero recode cant see the iso. Tried mounting that iso with Clone CD tray and it cannot see it. I need some help on the proceedure I need to use specifically to get nero recode to see/import a decrypted DVD ISO? How to make that decrypted iso the way nero recode needs to see it etc. I just want to play a little bit with nero recode to see what it can do. thanks

If you rip with DVDdecrypter, in file mode, to a temporary folder somewhere, you can in fact use Recode, however _unlike_ DVDShrink you need to rename your temp folder as "VIDEO_TS".
Otherwise Recode can't "see" the contents, even though they're there. So just name your temp folder "VIDEO_TS" and it will see it.

Not sure if this answers your question, but it is a quirk I noticed.

RELATED WARNING FROM ANOTHER FORUM: "Btw, several folks are surmissing that Nero Recode is free. But it is not. Sure you can run it and you get no nag screen or expiration date. But if you run Nero VisionExpress demo, you get the expiration date. Once you past that expiration date, Nero Recode will no longer work (unless you upgrade or buy Nero 6)." SO BE CAREFUL AND NEVER RUN NERO VISIONEXPRESS!!!!

Hobbit

Rip in file mode make sure you select all files... If you want to rip straight from the dvd use Region Free
