| Re: i cant allways see my dvd movies i think you're a little confused. what's the rated speed of your verbatim dvd+r discs? I'll let you off the hook on not providing media ID because they will be MCC003 or MCC004 depending on speed so I already know that, but I'll never understand why people only choose to answer parts of questions on this board (nothing against you...it happens in EVERY thread haha) also, what speed are you burning them at? you gave the model number of your dvd burner. I was asking the brand/model of your standalone dvd player that you're having trouble with... have you recently switch media? a lot of players don't like +R formats. many players (especially older ones...and even some new) will only perform well with DVD-R and +R booktyped to DVD-ROM. I'm leaning towards a speed issue though. never select "max" in speed settings when you're burning. always select the rated speed of the media or a notch or two lower. I have to go to work now, but I'll check this thread when I get home tonight. Maybe others will have some input before then. |

| Re: i cant allways see my dvd movies If you have a product manual with your GoVideo, you can see what type of discs it plays back. I had a look over a few spec sheets at the GoVideo website for the D640, D645 and the D2730. All work with DVD-R/RW, and DVD+R/RW media. Depends on your particular model though. Make sure the LiteOn drive has up-to-date firmware; especially important if you're using the latest high-speed discs. You can also update the firmware on some of the GoVideo hardware but again, it depends the model. Try a DVD+RW and see if that works; either way you'll be able to erase the disc and re-use it. Did you burn the disc at high speed (i.e. 12x or 16x)? If so, lower the speed to 8x or 4x. Failing that, try some different media - like ye old faithful Taiyo Yuden discs. Hope this helps. Regards TZ
