Re: How to change audio encoding in VOBs

Demux the vob files to its Video & Audio streams ( VOBEdit can do that for you), convert the AC3 to mp2 with BeSweet & its GUI. Then reauthor the new audio with the video file (TMPGEnc DVD Author or DVDLab can do that).

I find it strange that your player stufs up with AC3 audio, unless it was originaly encoded using an old version of BeSweet's AC3Enc.dll MP2 is not a primary standard for NTSC dvd's so dont expect it to even play at all if its an NTSC dvd.

Re: How to change audio encoding in VOBs

thanks, the problem is I encoded it with nero and I always have problems with stuff encoded and authored with nero everything is almost always fucked up in some way when I use this program.. these even when I use MPEG2VCR some VOBs don't want to demultiplex. I didn't want to use Nero but TMPGENC and Mainconcept don't want to encode to the correct bitrate the files I have here always come out smaller, I bought some cheap media and I'll see if I burn these if they will play right if not I'll just give up and watch on my PC

thanks though I will try VOBedit and see if it does the trick here

Re: How to change audio encoding in VOBs

Just load the first VOB in and the rest will auto load. Then hit the Demux button and tick Demux All Video Stream and All Audio Streams, then OK.
