Copy Movie Discuss, Easiest DVD Copy Program at International Chat: Software related forum; What is the easiest DVD copy program to use? I'm new to DVD burning, finding it much harder than CD burning because of the compression and anti-piracy issues. I've tried DVDXCopy but understand that program is no longer supported or updated to copy the newest DVD's.

Not only that, but DVD X Copy is perhaps the worst program ever written.

Lots of people like DVD Shrink, some like CloneDVD (which costs money).

The problem here is that nowadays you need TWO programs. One to "rip" the disc (remove protection) and one to do the compression/copying. I personally use AnyDVD to "rip". Slysoft offers an excellent deal when you buy AnyDVD and CloneDVD together (make sure to go to Slysoft, and not clonedvd.net which is a fake program).

If you just want FREE, get DVDFab Decrypter to rip with, and DVD Shrink to make the backups.

Good luck!

Re: Easiest DVD Copy Program

I totally agree it is a poor program (I test computer software).

I'm checking out AnyDVD/ CloneDVD vs. 1ClickDVDCopy vs. EasyDVDClone so far.

(I refuse to test any dvd program without a trial period)

Re: Easiest DVD Copy Program

For my money, the easiet is AnyDVd combined with regular (not Pro) 1ClickDVDCopy.

Hi
I've tried many if not all on the market. Some were quite a while ago. As you can see in my sig. There's only one combination for me. Ease of use. Consistant. Last but the most important Support.
Have a good one.

Re: Easiest DVD Copy Program

The EASIEST (and reliable) way to copy would be
1clickdvdcopy (not pro version) and AnyDVD

Try the Trial version of 1click regular.... you will see how EASY it is

Once you are comfortable with that

CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD

these combinations should be the ONLY thing you will ever need to make your backups.

Ive backedup well over 400 movies using 1clickdvdcopy, and can count the number of coasters ive had on one hand - ok maybe both hands - but all have been my error.

I recently started useing CLoneDVD2, as I wanted to be able to "edit" the movie a little more.

Re: Easiest DVD Copy Program

The issue I have with 1Click... other than just my gut feeling that it sucks (which might be unfounded)... is that it has ISSUES on a regular basis with AnyDVD.

You don't see any posts in here saying "I use AnyDVD and CloneDVD and I got an illegal operation error on {new movie X}!" but you DO see a lot of that with 1Click. Now James @ Slysoft usually fixes the issue from his end, but he always makes it clear that the problem lies with 1Click, not AnyDVD.

So for what it's worth, the MOST TROUBLE FREE combination is still AnyDVD+CloneDVD.

The issue I have with 1 click: Registration is bound to your computer. That sucks. I don't want to depend on the support, if I want to change my hardware.

You right.. the "MOST TROUBLE FREE" and "RELIABLE"combination is definatly AnyDVD and CloneDVD. I was thinking in the mindset of the 1click forums itself (not the one here on cdfreaks), where its only 1click regular or pro version.

Most of those "I have an error" topics come from people using 1click in conjunction with DVD43 - or using AnyDVD with DVD43 still hiding somewhere in their computer - or from people just not knowing what they are doing . 1click is still "Easier" to use, for those starting out
