Re: Copied a dvd but it kept skipping....

Most likely cause is the blank media that you chose to use, recommended would be Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. Did you check the file on your PCs media player before burning?

Re: Copied a dvd but it kept skipping....

Hi Gayle. What disks are you using? All blank disks have a media ID code. This is easy to find. Pop a blank that you bought from the store (or just the one that skips) into ImgBurn, go to write mode (Ctrl-Alt-W) and cut and paste the info on the top right pane.

Beef Barley was saying that skipping is a problem most often associated with cheap blank disks. The best ones to buy are what he recommended.

Regards

Then make everyone a dvd of the cruise. That is one thing I want to do. I also would like to try and back up some of my movies I have purchase that are getting very very scratched up. Thats is all

Hi Gayle, yes ImgBurn will find any Optical drive in your computer. Just use it as the destination and the file or disc as the source. You will see a dropdown box, just select the drive you want to burn with.

Sounds like poor media or burning to fast onto the blank media. But also could be the choice of media your used to burn to...was it -/+ R media or DL media? But also did the source media play properly when you used it before copying it??? What software are you using to copy the media as well?

Re: Copied a dvd but it kept skipping....

The blank dvd i used to burn the cameras movie to I made was a DVD+RW Sony 120min/4.7gb,,this is all on the front of the blank dvd. I believe what come with the dvd burner is nero. I had trouble with loading it, so at this time it is taken off. Is there a free dvd burning software that might work with this dvd burner i have LG Super Multi DVD Rewriter Model GSA-E60N. I really do appreciate your help in here. I am lost a bit on getting it all to work. When I burned the dvd before, it work from the camera to the dvd. But when I tried to copy a movie i own to back it up because of its getting bad codition, the movie did burn to the disk but skipped alot.

thank you again for any suggestions or help

Gayle
