If I use DVDshrink to split a movie onto 2 DVDs (main movie only) and eventually get DL disks, will I be able to easily combine the two parts back to one movie on the DL disk?

if you're talking about splitting and then recombining only the main movie, then that can be done easily (and can be done with dvdshrink).

I was not aware u could split a movie using DVD Shrink.

Will it work for movies split with DVDFab as well? Since I am not picking the splitting point I don't know if will split it in an odd way...

(DVDFab is more of a "black box" than DVDShrink - but it can create working menus on the 2nd DVD)

it's only easy to split and recombine a single video (such as the main movie only). dvdfab splits the entire disc, so to recombine the contents of the disc while keeping the original menus is pretty much impossible.

yes, you can do that easily with any number of methods.
