| Backing up the 6 channel audio only. Is that ok? I always choose to remove all the audio tracks except for the 6 channel. Is there anything wrong with doing it this way? If there is space I do select the 2 channel also, but most of the time I end up with just the 6 channel. Any reason why I'd want to get the 2 channel audio? Just want to make sure that only keeping the 6 channel track isn't something I will regret later. |

| Re: Backing up the 6 channel audio only. Is that ok? Nope...I also copy only AC 3/6. This format will also work with mono, stereo, Dolby Pro Logic, and Dolby Digital. DTS will only work if you have a DTS decoder. With some older movies, you may see AC 3/2 or Dolby single channel (like the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly). |

| Re: Backing up the 6 channel audio only. Is that ok? Yes, it is absolutely ok. It is the best choice. Players can downmix six channel audio (exception is DTS in case of some players).
