This Thread is a MUST READ For all Pioneer A05 / 105 dvd2one users

if you have a pioneer a05 or 105 then download

[EDIT] Direct file download link removed by Kenshin, Moderator of DVD Hardware Forum: go to the RPC1 forum thread[/EDIT]

this makes your Drive Regionfree and makes it so you can burn 2x onto ritek 1x cd's!! Bravo..

"This firmware removes the region check and also enables the drive to write at 2x on Ritek G03 1x media (at the expense of TAIYOYUDEN 2x media). Credit goes to Gradius!"

Have fun, this can benefit alot of DVD2one users!

Would actually be great if you would link to : http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?t=12632 instead of the file itself.

Direct linking isn't that nice and it will give us some hits too.

The Ritek g03 dvd-r's are sold as 2x DVD-R's and will burn as 2x on my friends Panasonic 2x burner..

Is this the same Ritek G03's that you are speaking about?

i see them at:
http://www.sonnam.com/detail.asp?S=1...VD%2DRIT%2DP47
(thats $2.46 Canadian dollars)..

Is this the media that will now burn at 2x !!??

if so.. who can i send my paypal.com payment too!
thanks!
adam

It's even better now... at the forum you can find the RELEASE CANDIDATE (USE AT OWN RISK), that will make it possible to burn all 1x media at 2x. (If it is working correctly ofcourse).

It's still in testing... but for me on the media I got here.

Ofcourse I saw that, but it isn't normal to direct link to a file. When direct linking to files... host them yourself

Thank you for your contribution. I agree it is not nice to link directly to a file.
