Matshita UJ 820S coMpatiBility isSues? - Club CDFreaks

Hello people, fresh new to this forum.

I'm in the midst of getting rather frustrated, my Matshita UJ 820S drive installed on my toshiba laptop has problems burning with dvd+r disks (brands: Sony, Imation) while the movie and music files are chunking up my harddisk space overloadingly-packed full. I'm using Nero 6 ultra and everytime try to burn with those disks this error pops up : " Burn process failed at 2.4X(3,324kb/s)".

1) I want to know from users who also owns this same Matshita UJ 820S dvd drive, what are your formula's for preparing dvd's at home(like what programs you guys use to make dvd's, what kindof blank dvd and brand you use with this dvd drive (+R/RW,-R/RW, DVD-Ram etc.,) so as to be compatible). Please offer your valuable advice so i can start burning dvds!!

2) Second question that i have is regarding the CD R function of that same dvd drive, i observed that it is not stable when burning cd's. i 'm using Imation 48X speed cd-r disks. One time it burned ok but most of time it burns and no contents shows up afterwards in the finished cd. When i try to check it in "My Computer", it just says something like "D:\ error, Incorrect Function". Do you have the same issue? what is the solution?
